O'NEILL -- Radio station KBRX in O'Neill reports that according to the Holt County Attorney: In the late evening hours of February 8th, Officers with the O’Neill Police Department and Deputies with the Holt County Sheriff’s Office, as well as personnel from O’Neill Fire and Rescue and the Holt County Attorney’s Office, responded to a call of an unresponsive adult female. The adult female, identified as Stephanie Westerhaus, was pronounced deceased after being transported to Avera St. Anthony’s Hospital. No foul play is suspected. The preliminary cause of death has been ruled an accident. This matter will remain under investigation. An autopsy has been ordered. On behalf of all Holt County First Responders, our thoughts and prayers go out to Stephanie’s family.
