Loup Public Power also saw outages and restored power to all of their communities late Sunday afternoon.
COLUMBUS - Cornhusker Public Power says their power outages are down from over 3,000 to under 300 on Monday.
CPPD CEO Clay Gibbs says at the peak of the weekend storm there was just over 3,000 customers without power, and as of Monday morning there were just under 300 that still need to be reconnected.
Gibbs says, "Crews have been working very hard and long hours to get all of the damage to our system repaired, and power restored to our customers. We made really good progress yesterday and expect to get power restored to all customers today".
CPPD received assistants from Butler Public Power, Polk County Public Power, and Loup Public Power crews all day on Sunday, and are helping on Monday as well to speed up the process, says Gibbs.
