Conditional Use Permit Approved for Potential Dog/Cat Boarding Facility
Discussion of dog/cat boarding facility at Tuesday's Board of Supervisors meeting

At Tuesday morning’s Board of Supervisors meeting, Waylon and Lanay Christen spoke during a public hearing regarding a potential dog and cat boarding facility. The couple plans to utilize an old school house north of Broken Bow to house dogs and cats for people who wish to board animals while out of town. At this time, the capacity would be about 25 animals–which would be fed and taken outside twice a day. .

According to Zoning Administrator Darci Tibbs, the Planning Commission recommended approval for the permit. From the crowd, a few people expressed their concerns for noise, but the Christens reiterated that the animals would be inside most of the day. The conditional use permit was approved.

The board also approved a conditional use permit for Riley Seda of Rifle Creek Repair LLC. Seda plans to conduct auto repair services between Anselmo and Dunning.

County tax sale certificates were approved for ten different properties and road closures were approved for SORC, to take place August 10 and 11 of 2018.

A portion of Road #27-D was approved for relocation for the purpose of public safety and convenience in Township 18.

Of the three bids received, the board approved a bid from Forrester’s Dodge City of Arnold for the County Sheriff patrol vehicle trade in.
