Columbus Woman Forged Over $2,000 in Checks

COLUMBUS - In the first court case of 2018, a Columbus woman allegledly forged over $2,000 worth of checks to various businesses around the city. An arrest affidavit says, Annie McCoy, 40, wrote 40 forged checks during the month of November, totaling $2,031.94 to various businesses. McCoy is facing a class 4 felony charge for 2nd Degree Forgery, and is scheduled for a first appearance in Platte County Court on January 10th.
