COLUMBUS - The Columbus Area Chamber is asking residents to take a short survey, that is a part of a statewide "Community Strengths" project. The chamber says the project is working on measuring how well communities stack up in nine categories, that are important to people who are looking to move to new communities. Columbus is one of 26 communities participating in the project, which is headed by the University of Nebraska at Kearney and Hollman Media, LLC in Kearney, says the Chamber. “This isn’t a contest,” said Travis Hollman, president of Hollman Media. “Knowing what your community is doing well and not so well is valuable to the community’s strategic planning process. This survey instrument is unique in that it is based on solid research that found that people wanted nine things in any community. Some of those nine things surprised us, but they make up the nine things being measured in the participating communities.” Their is no financial commitment on Columbus' end, but the community is asked to submit a required amount of surveys. The chamber says survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Find the survey by clicking "Community Links" below.  https://thecolumbuspage.com/resources/community-links/
