Columbus Resident Out Hundreds after Fake Ebay Purchase

COLUMBUS - A Columbus resident reported to police, that they are out hundreds of dollars, after they tried to purchase a vehicle on Ebay. The resident reported to local authorities that they attempted to buy a vehicle through Ebay, and is out $800, says CPD. The resident told police that they believe the Ebay account was a fake, after not receiving there vehicle. Columbus Police Captain Todd Thalken to make sure there is a clear method of transaction when purchasing a vehicle, and encourages residents to make sure they see the vehicle in person before making the purchase.
