Columbus Man to be Sentenced on Attempted Delivery of Meth

COLUMBUS, Neb. - A Columbus man who had his house raided by police this summer will be sentenced on two meth-related charges this month. 44-year-old Jason Bender was convicted in October of attempting to distribute meth and meth possession. Court records say an informant purchased $140 of meth from him in June. The next day police raided his house and found drug paraphernalia with meth residue in it. A plea deal changed his most serious charge from meth distribution to attempted delivery of meth. He will be sentenced on December 15th in Platte County District court.
