Columbus Man Jailed After Stealing Electricity

COLUMBUS - A local man was jailed after reconnecting power to his house and stealing electricity. Court records say the 44-year-old man was jailed for not paying, what he owes to the court. The man allegedly reconnected his house to electricity for a span of 12 days in September, without the power companies knowledge, and stole $60 worth of electricity. The man was jailed in Platte County on Monday, after not paying the ordered $125 in fines.
