Columbus Man in Prison on Drug Conviction, Has Trial Date for Meth Dealing Charge in Dodge County

COLUMBUS, Neb. - A Columbus man who currently resides in the Nebraska State Penitentiary, is set to stand trial in Dodge County for dealing meth. 21-year-old Ethan Vesely has pleaded not guilty to both the meth delivery and possession charges. His trial date is February 8th. Records say in August of last year, Vesely and 19-year-old Rachel Hayward were found with over eight grams of meth near North Bend, while both were on probation. Vesely was given two and half years in prison the next month for coordinating a drug transaction with Hayward, while he was in Platte County jail. Hayward was sentenced to one year in jail for her involvement in that case. She is also charged with meth possession in the Dodge County incident.
