Columbus Man Gets Prison for Meth-Related Conviction

COLUMBUS, Neb. - A Columbus man originally accused of dealing meth, was given a prison term for possessing the drug on Friday. 33-year-old Jimmy Tabbytosavit was given 18 months in prison by Judge Robert Steinke. Records say an informant bought just over a half gram of meth from Tabbytosavit in August of 2016 in Columbus. Tabbytosavit was originally charged with three harsher charges regarding dealing meth, but prosecutors eventually amended the charge to simple meth possession. He is given credit for 19 days already served and will be forced to participate in nine month of post-release supervision, following his release.
