Columbus Man Charged with Assaulting Pregnant Woman

COLUMBUS, Neb. - An argument over a pillow caused a Columbus man to assault a pregnant woman, according to police. 27-year-old Lenny Newman is charged with felony 3rd-degree assault on a pregnant woman stemming from an incident on February 25th. Records say Newman was set off after a woman pulled away a pillow from him. Documents say he then "lost it" grabbing the woman's neck, arms, left foot and twisting her leg in a painful manner. The woman reported a sore knee and redness on her body the next day. He admitted to grabbing her arms and face, and pulling her across the bed. He denied touching her neck. He'll be in court next week.
