Columbus Man Arrested for Warrants, Controlled Substance

COLUMBUS - Sheriff's reports say a man was arrested near a local business on two area warrants, in addition to new drug charges. Platte County Sheriff reports say, Jakota Moore, 30, was arrested on Friday on Platte County and Seward County Warrants after a call near a business on east 23rd Street. Moore was also arrested for possession of a controlled substance, marijuana less than an ounce, and theft by receiving stolen property, says Sheriff reports. If charged, possession of a controlled substance is a felony. Moore is awaiting sentencing in a Seward County theft case, and was sentenced to 100 days in jail, earlier this year, in a Platte County assault case, say court records.
