Broken Bow City-Wide Cleanup Tomorrow September 14

BROKEN BOW–The City of Broken Bow prepares for the city-wide cleanup scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, September 14.

Free collection sites will be open and the tree dump will also be open for free.

Free collection site will be between Tomahawk Park and Paul Brown Field between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on September 14. Acceptable items include brick, lawn mowers, old bicycles, etc., miscellaneous metal, tires, automotive batteries, and appliance without Freon. NO paint, motor oil, lawn and garden chemicals, or household waste.

The city thanks Myers Iron Salvage and Myers Roll-Offs for providing the Roll-Offs as well as thanks to the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts for their participation with the clean-up project.

Cardboard recycling trailer located at the corner of South 10th Avenue and South B Street

All residents are also encouraged to recycle as they do fall cleaning by taking items to the recycling trailers at the corner of South 10th Avenue and South B Street or to the trailers at the Grocery Kart.

The City of Broken Bow Tree Dump will also be open for free on Saturday, September 14 and Saturday, September 21 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Acceptable materials collected at the tree dump include trees, branches, wood pallets, untreated lumber, unpainted lumber, grass clippings, leaves, yard waste, garden waste, flowers, bushes, and clean concrete that does not include rebar or wire mesh in the concrete.

In addition, the Goodwill Truck will be located in the Gary’s Super Foods parking lot from September 30 to October 4. Acceptable items include old computers (Working or broken), clothing, furniture, and working small appliances.
