Christian Cross Festival Holds Annual Concert at Skyview Park

If you are looking for some free entertainment this weekend, you may be in luck.

The Christian Cross Festival is Friday, June 7, and Saturday, June 8, and it will have something for everyone.

“We just love the fact that we can come out here in the community,” event organizer Dallas McKellips said. “One of our goals is that we want to make sure we’re the big church. We want to put denominational differences aside for the weekend and let everyone come out and hear the gospel and some great musicians at a wonderful, family-friendly event.”

The festival kicked off Friday night and will continue Saturday with performances from Remedy Drive, Zealand  and headliner Matthew West. The second day of the festival will also have appearances by speaker Nathan Harmon, and the night will be capped off with a fireworks show.

“You need to bring your whole family out,” McKellips said. There’s inflatables for the kids so they jump all that energy off. There’s kayakers out on the lake. There’s face painting and great vendors. Obviously, the music is the wonderful thing.”

Event organizers said they encourage people to take part in a weekend of music and fellowship.

“This is the best event that you’re going to be at that you’re going to hear the gospel and really good Christian music in a live setting,” McKellips said. “This is the perfect time to bring your family and friends out and hear this music.”
