A chili contest and helping others is about as Nebraska as it can get. On Thursday, February 25, Mr. Rudy’s Restaurant and Drinkery in Sargent, will host a chili contest where entries will have a chance to win 1 of 3 great prizes plus bragging rights! A $5 cover charge is all that it will cost for you to taste and vote for your favorite chili which will also include a fresh-baked cinnamon roll. The tasting and voting will begin at 5 PM and the top three winners will be announced at 8 PM.
The cover charge along with the donations given during the event will go to help Makilah Ironshell and Mitchell Porter who lost everything in a February 17 fire including two pets, Boston and Lexi.
