Check Out Some Of The Fundraisers Going On In The Area This Weekend

It will be a busy couple of days in the area with multiple events and fundraisers taking place. Here is a comprehensive look at some of events that have been sent to KCNI/KBBN. If you have a non-profit event or fundraiser that you would like announced, send us an email at [email protected].

On Saturday, October 12, HOSA and Teammates have teamed together and organized a Zombie Run! This 5K run/walk will begin with registration/sign-ins at 8:00 AM by the Melham ball fields with the race starting at 9:00 AM.

Those who would like to register can do so by following the link found on the Broken Bow Public School-Activities Facebook page. Registration forms are also available at the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce, Broke Bow Public Schools, and Nebraska State Bank.

Also on Saturday will be a free will donation sloppy joe feed for Diane Ellingson from 6:00-8:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Broken Bow. On February 19th, Diane was diagnosed with inoperable liver cancer.

According to a flyer, the doctors said they were able catch it early, but for now, shrinking it is the only option since there is no way to remove it. All proceeds from the feed will help with medical bills and travel expenses. It is asked that you wear green to show your support!

On Sunday, October 13 the Eddyville American Legion Auxiliary will have a pancake feed, quilt raffle, and craft and bake sale from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Eddyville Community Center. They will be serving pancakes and sausage for a free will offering, while quilt raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the door. All proceeds will go to the Eddyville American Legion Auxiliary to support the Eddyville Legion and community projects.

To begin the week on Monday, October 14, Off Broadway will have their 5th Annual Fall Bonanza and Open House from 1:00-3:00 PM. It will be an afternoon full of tours, BINGO, music, door prizes and refreshments! Music with Ferrall Fitch will take place from 1:15-2:00 PM followed by BINGO from 2:00-3:00 PM.

These events and more can be found on the Community Calendar.
