BROKEN BOW—After seven years of eyeballing a run-down space on 9th Avenue, the Nekuda family is proud to officially open Captivative Images Photography Studio and join the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce. Amanda Nekuda has been taking professional photos since 2008 and is excited to finally have her own space. The studio, located at 135 South 9th Avenue, underwent significant renovations over the last 16 months and provides Amanda with a space to bring smiles to her customers.

“I just love taking pictures. The thing I think that sets me apart from other photographers is my style of taking pictures. Mostly my style is to have fun and make great memories,” Nekuda continued. “That’s the thing that is my number one goal. And getting some awesome pictures in the meanwhile is just an awesome perk. I kind of do it backwards from everybody else because I want that memory to be you look at the picture and then your heart is just right back there again.”

Amanda loves to do senior and family pictures. She also does small events, engagements, and passport photos. Amanda said she knows life changes so quickly and therefore it is her goal to help people hold on to memories for a lifetime.

“I love being part of helping people catch that memory so later they can look back and it will bring that memory right back to now and bring a smile to their face,” Nekuda said.

Amanda’s husband Clint owns and operates Mean Creek Taxidermy in the space next door, all within the same building. He said the newly renovated photography studio used to be a hallway filled with junk. The couple said they are thrilled to have moved out of their basement and garage and work at the businesses they are passionate about all under one roof.

“Amanda’s been doing for photography for quite a while but never really had a specific place that felt like home to her. So, after a lot of talking and praying we decided this is what we’re going to do with it and it’s finally coming together. She does a wonderful job at it and she’s really good at it,” Clint Nekuda said.

Amanda and Clint have five children Kyrie, Taylor, Kiara, Aduken, and Archer. Captivative Images Photography Studio is open by appointment and can be reached by calling 308-870-4374. Congratulations and welcome to the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce!
