NORFOLK— Class D1 has crowned a champion at the 2019 NSAA Play Production State Championships in Norfolk as Paxton secured a first-place finish by the narrowest of margins over Callaway.
With a score of 174, Paxton and the play “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer” was able to take first place and beat out Callaway and “Fighting Demons” by a single point. Judges scored the Callaway play 57, 58, and 58 totaling 173 points.
Jade Evens will also be headed home with some hardware as she was awarded the Outstanding Female Performer.
