CALLAWAY–Health screenings, lab tests, and helpful medical information will be available during this Sunday’s Community Health Fair to take place at the Callaway Community Center (203 W. Kimball Street).
The Callaway District Hospital invites the public to attend the health fair on Sunday, August 18 from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to visit with health care specialists regarding hospice, insurance, physical therapy, cancer screenings, and much more.
Skin cancer and blood pressure health screenings will be available as well as lab tests for general health, diabetes, prostate, thyroid, and vitamin D. Lunch will also be provided during the health fair.
Brett Eggleston, Chief Executive Officer at Callaway District Hospital & Medical Clinics, told KCNI/KBBN the hospital has recently upgraded various equipment in order to provide the most up-to-date medical services.
The hospital has recently upgraded the mammography equipment to offer 3-D digital mammography, new X-ray technology, and has brought in the latest addition of a CT scanner through some grant funding.
“We are very blessed with the health services that we do have available here in the community,” Eggleston said.
