According to information from Burwell Public Schools, early in the morning on Wednesday May 19 two students were involved in a car accident at the highway 91 and 183 junction in Taylor.
Senior Colton Dawe passed away as a result of the accident and sophomore Austin Thompson is reported to be in a stable and alert condition at the Valley County Hospital.
Burwell Public Schools has crisis team members available at both the elementary and high schools.
