Broken Bow Woman Could Face Max. 2 Years in Jail
County Court held on Monday

Monday, September 11 in Custer County Court, 28-year-old Sheila Newman (Broken Bow) appeared for alleged possession of drug paraphernalia (an infraction) and alleged possession of a controlled substance. Newman faces a maximum two years in jail for the Class IV felony. According to the court, Newman possessed meth in July of this year. Judge Tami Schendt appointed Newman an attorney and scheduled a preliminary hearing for October 2.

Many arraignments for misdemeanor cases were heard Monday morning and other felony cases were continued.
