Broken Bow Public Library Welcomes Edgerton Explorit Center

BROKEN BOW – The Broken Bow Public Library will welcome the Edgerton Explorit Center of Aurora, Nebraska for a presentation on sound waves for community members young and old on Wednesday, June 22.

The center’s visit cleverly coincides with the library’s Summer Reading Program theme of “Oceans of Possibilities;” the presentation will cover sound waves. The Explorit Center will present twice, once at 10 a.m. for youth and again at noon for teens and adults.

Public library director Megan Svobada says the Explorit Center’s presentation is only one piece of a buzzing summer library scene.

“We always have the scavenger hunt for all ages. We also have an art show going on. Teens and adults can pick up a mini-canvas and add it to the wall.”

With all the bustling, one could be forgiven for forgetting its underlying purpose: summer reading, Svoboda reminds the community. “Adults can join in the summer reading program. They can’t just let the kids have all the fun.”
