Broken Bow picks up third win of the season

It was a battle of the Indians Friday night at Broken Bow’s Mark Russell Field. Not only did Broken Bow and Ogallala have to battle each other, they also had to battle mother nature as heavy rain fell during portions of the game. In the end, Broken Bow would pick up their third win of the season as they defeated Ogallala 14-0. Broken Bow quarterback Grayson Garey started the scoring with a 5 yd. TD run on the opening play of the 2nd quarter to put Broken Bow ahead 7-0 and that would be the score at halftime. In the second half, Ogallala was able to generate some offense and drove down deep into Broken Bow territory more than once. But every time Ogallala knocked on the door, the Broken Bow defense shut it and was able to hold Ogallala scoreless. Broken Bow would put the game away late in the 4th quarter when, following an interception by Josh Harvey, Grayson Garey ran in for his second TD of the night to make the final score Broken Bow 14, Ogallala 0. Broken Bow will next play at Cozad on Friday night.
