Broken Bow High School bowling team off to a successful start

The Broken Bow High School bowling team completed their second weekend of competition. The first weekend saw both the boys and girls teams go 2 – 0 . The boys defeated Norfolk Catholic by a score of 18 to 1, and the girls beat Norfolk Catholic 16 to 3. The girls turned around and defeated Boone Central by the score of 13 to 6, while the boys defeated Boone Central by a score of 12 to 7 on September the 9th.

On September 16th the BBHS boys and girls traveled to Longhorn Lanes in Burwell to take on Hastings Adams Central. Both the boys and the girls teams came away with 17 to 2 victories. The girls were led for the day by Seniors Ryan Nielsen, with a 175 average and Chloe Herman with a 173 average on the day. The boys were led by Junior Sam Schendt and Freshman Wyatt Woodward who both averaged 130 for the days bowling.

The BBHS bowling team will be in action next weekend, Saturday September 23rd, at Sports Bowl in Ravenna to take on Wayne, and Hartington with the first ball rolling at 12 pm.
