Broken Bow Elks Lodge presents three awards

BROKEN BOW- The Broken Bow Elks Lodge recently presented three traditional awards. Recipients of the Citizens of the Year, Elk of the Year, and Officers of the Year awards were selected for their commitment and dedication to the Broken Bow Elks Lodge and their service area.

Amber and Mike Evans received the 2022 Elks Citizens of the Year award. Amber and Mike have supported the Elks Lodge hide collection for years, freely donating the salt that is needed to process and preserve the hides before being tanned.

Earl Hansen was presented with a commemorative plaque naming him as Elk of the Year. Earl has been an invaluable member of the Lodge for years, serving as the Hide Chairman and also as State Hide Chairman.

Paul and Becky Loy were named as Officers of the Year for the Broken Bow Elks Lodge 1688. Paul and Becky have held many offices in the lodge and have chaired several committees and events. This includes the annual Santa and Mrs. Claus visit to the Lodge, which has expanded to other community events. They are also involved in the annual Winter Wear Drive, which provides coats and accessories to those who need them free of charge.
