Broken Bow Care & Rehab Has No Plans Of Closing Their Doors

BROKEN BOW— Broken Bow Care and Rehabilitation Center is reassuring residents that “we are not closing,” according to Jennifer Larson, Director of Nursing at the Broken Bow Care and Rehabilitation Center. In an interview with KCNI/KBBN, Larson noted that there were miscommunications between a press release that was sent out earlier this week and what had actually occurred.

Klaasmeyer & Associates, who currently manage the Broken Bow Center, had arrived in Broken Bow to inform families and residents that the building would be closing due to lack of funds. While in the facility, word was brought to the attention of Klaasmeyer & Associates that additional funding had been received which would allow the Broken Bow Center to remain operational.

“The information that was given [about the closing of multiple facilities] was correct at that moment, but things changed throughout the day,” said Larson.

While the situation on the other 20 nursing homes and assisted-living centers are unknown at this time, Larson wants the public to make sure that they stay informed and check your sources.

“When it comes to instances like this question your sources,” says Larson. “Our families know that we will keep you up to date and trust us for that information and stay calm, stay supportive, and we will keep everybody posted as we know things and going forward.”

Larson also said that the Broken Bow Center has plans for adding additional staff and residents once stable and solid ownership is found.
