Broken Bow Care And Rehabilitation Center In Negotiations To Possibly Be Purchased Locally

BROKEN BOW— While the Broken Bow Care and Rehabilitation Center has a closing date of May 27 from Klaasmeyer & Associates, they have no intention of shutting their doors anytime soon.

At a press conference on Friday afternoon, Jennifer Larson, Director of Nursing, had news that Broken Bow Care and Rehab was is in active negotiations to be bought by a local purchaser. Larson said that while this does give the center hope, the deal was not set in stone, but she had confidence that the deal would go through.

A timeline for the purchase was not known, but it was hoped that it would be completed within the next few weeks. Details on the purchaser were not released, but Larson did say that the person purchasing the center is from the Custer County area.

Funding for the center will continue through Klaasmeyer & Associates until the closing date on May 27 or until the purchase is completed. Broken Bow Rehab currently has 79 licensed beds available, with a current population of 25 residents and also employs 48 staff members.
