Broken Bow Boys High School Bowling Team Wins 2 Over the Weekend

The Broken Bow High School boys bowling team was in action Sunday against Kearney Catholic High School, and St. Paul/Elba at the Big Apple Fun Center in Kearney. The Day started with BBHS against KCHS a match the BBHS boys won by a total of 11-8. The BBHS boys came out firing on all cylinders with a notable performance by Shay Herman with a first game total of 240, which featured a run of 8 strikes in a row. The BBHS boys also put in a notable Baker performance with a 256 first baker game, a “clean” game featuring a run of 6 strikes in a row. The BBHS boys kept their winning ways going in the second match of the day against St. Paul/Elba, winning by a score of 16.5 – 2.5. The BBHS boys were led for the day by Shay Herman with a 189.5 average over 4 games. The Boys also had their best Baker game of the year (256) and finished with a 172 Baker average over five games. Next up for BBHS will be districts on November 18, 2017, with the boys competing in Ravenna, and the girls competing in Norfolk.
