Broken Bow Boys and Girls Sweep Doubleheader at Southern Valley

The Broken Bow girls and boys basketball teams each picked up a win Friday night at Southern Valley. The Broken Bow girls collected their 5th win of the season with a 30-24 victory. Broken Bow trailed 13-12 at half but outscored Southern Valley 13-1 in the 3rd quarter and then held on in the 4th to pick up the win. Kali Staples led the way for the Lady Indians with 11 points and Jory Lowe finished with 8 including a critical 3 pointer as the buzzer sounded at the end of the 3rd quarter. The Broken Bow girls are now 5-8 on the season.

The Broken Bow boys cruised to their 10th win of the season with a 58-31 victory over the Eagles. Broken Bow trailed 11-7 at the end of the 1st quarter but outscored Southern Valley 26-6 in the second quarter to take control of the game. Josh Harvey scored 13 of his game high 19 points during that second quarter run. Tanner Linn also finished in double figures with 14 points as Bow improved its overall record to 10-2.
