NORTH PLATTE--The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a blizzard warning for western and north central Nebraska. Some roads may be drifted shut, and scattered power outages should not be ruled out. The NWS reports that blizzard conditions will be present throughout the day as moderate to heavy snow spreads south and east with strong north winds. All of western Nebraska will see blizzard conditions late this afternoon/evening and over night into Saturday. The heaviest snow will fall this evening into Saturday morning with snow tapering off from west to east Saturday evening as winds decrease. Heaviest snowfall amounts are expected along the Nebraska South Dakota border.
