Blizzard Conditions Expected to Worsen Overnight

BLOOMFIELD - Some Northeast Nebraskans once again find themselves in the middle of a winter storm. A blizzard warning is in effect for Knox and Cedar Counties through Tuesday evening. While some snow has already fallen and tapered off a bit Monday afternoon, forecasters with the National Weather Service say the snow is expected to pick back up again Monday night, and that the highest probability of accumulation and heavy winds will be Monday Night into Tuesday. In all, portions of Knox and Cedar County are expected to see anywhere from four to six inches of snow. The Nebraska Department of Roads says highways near towns like Bloomfield, Creighton, Verdigre and Niobrara are completely covered with ice and snow.
