BROKEN BOW—A sugar-coated ribbon cutting took place on Tuesday morning as the Blessings and Grace Bakery joined the Broken Bow Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber Executive Director Deb Kennedy also owns and operates Blessings and Grace Bakery. Kennedy said she has fond childhood memories growing up baking with her grandmothers and her mom.

The businesses began to take shape after Kennedy was asked by family members to bake cupcakes for a wedding rehearsal. From there, Kennedy found her rhythm and is excited to be a member of the chamber, providing treats such as cupcakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, and much more.

“It’s really been fun to see the business grow and see how things have changed,” Kennedy said.

Kennedy bakes out of a kitchen in Kearney but looks forward to being even more involved with the Broken Bow community, in whatever flavor that may be required!
