Bellar, Cerny, Finalists for Top Job with NSAA

LINCOLN – Two Northeast Nebraska superintendents have made the final cut in the NSAA’s search for an Executive Director.

Battle Creek Superintendent Jay Bellar and Bancroft-Rosalie Superintendent Jon Cerny are two of the four finalists looking to take over for Dr. Jim Tenopir who will be retiring from the position in July.

Papillion-La Vista South Principal and former Norfolk High Assistant Principal, Jeff Johnson and Dundy County-Stratton Superintendent Jim Kent are the other two finalists still in the running.

The NSAA says interviews will be scheduled in January, with the new executive director beginning service on or about July 1, 2018.
