BEATRICE - Beatrice City Councilman, “Cyclist Joe” Billesbach, was struck on his bike by a drunk driver in Lincoln on Thursday night.
The hit and run led to Billesbach suffering a broken leg and several broken ribs.
He is a big part of the Lincoln cycling community, and friend, Jason Strohben, has started a gofundme page to help with his medical expenses.
As of 1:50 p.m. on Friday, the fund had already reached $2,555 of its original $4,000 goal.
