BB Library Hosting the Get Caught Reading Challenge

BROKEN BOW–“Oh my goodness we miss the patrons terribly! Our days just aren’t complete without seeing the patrons. That’s why we’re here, it’s for the public,” Assistant Director Megan Svoboda said of the staff missing interactions with the community at the Broken Bow Public Library.

Even though they cannot be together in person at this time, the staff at the Broken Bow Public Library are still available to serve its community and are encouraging everyone to read with the “Get Caught Reading Challenge” for a chance to win a gift card from the Bonfire Bakery.

People and families of all ages are encouraged to “catch” a family member reading and then post a picture on the Broken Bow Public Library Facebook page, @brokenbowlibrary.

“This week is National Library Week so we thought it would be a fun way to celebrate and then we thought it would be a fun way to give back to the Bonfire, give them some business, so that was the goal I guess to keep people reading,” Svoboda said.

Svoboda told KCNI/KBBN that she and the library staff want people to stay engaged with the library and all of the resources still available, as well as the online-programming posted on Facebook. She said to take advantage of the online databases and curbside pickup.

The Get Caught Reading Challenge will continue until Friday, April 24. Call the library at  308-872-2927 with any questions regarding online resources or curbside pickup. Library staff is available to help 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
