Arcadia Boosters Welcome Two New Businesses
Luckys Tavern and Grays Contracting both opened in Arcadia earlier this fall.

ARCADIA–Two new businesses were welcomed to Arcadia by the Arcadia Community Boosters. They are Gray Contracting, LLC and Lucky’s Tavern. Both businesses were presented a plaque by Kelli Van Slyke, the president of the Boosters.

Gray Contracting is owned by Bryan and Hallie Gray. Bryan writes: “Our family has enjoyed living in Arcadia for the past five years. I started Gray Contracting on September 1st. My wife is a teacher in Loup City and we have a two year old son, Cyler. In March we plan to add a new member to our family. Gray Contracting is excited to provide services to our area, and we are eager to make your projects come to life. Gray Contracting specializes in new construction and remodels. Call us today to get your project started at 308-546-7271.”

Lucky’s Tavern in Arcadia was purchased by Chad and Garrett Sheeks and opened for business on September 24th. Both young men are graduates of Arcadia High School. They are filling a need in Arcadia by providing food and beverages during the times when the Corner Café is closed. Their food menus are currently being changed and expanded. Their hours are 5:00-10:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 11:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Saturday, and 5:00-10:00 p.m. Sunday.

Chad says, “If we need to remain open later to accommodate our patrons, we will certainly not push anyone out the door.” They have some special events planned in the next couple of months including a Harvest Festival on November 21st from 7:00-close and a Fundraiser for Keely Holcomb & Family on December 12th. It will include a raffle and a silent auction. Plans are also being made for an “Ugly Sweater” contest with some karaoke later in December. Chad and Garrett invite everyone to stop by so they can get acquainted with you.
