ANSLEY—Festival, family, fun, and friends! The annual Muddy Creek Celebration begins on Friday in Ansley. Muddy Creek Celebration committee president Chas Fecht said she is grateful for this year’s support.

“We’re going to kick off tomorrow [Friday]. We’re pretty excited, it really does take a whole community so we have so many volunteers and sponsors, there’s no way we could do it without them,” Fecht said.

Most of the weekend events will take place in the Ansley City Park and are fun for the whole family.

Friday: Chalk Drawing, Kids Bike Parade, Kids Water Carnival, AVTO Duck Races, Homemade Ice Cream, Exotic Petting Zoo, Hog Wrestling and Live Band 4 on the Floor from Omaha, Food Vendors

Saturday: Parade at 11:30 a.m., Community Center Lunch by Spanish Club, Kids Fishing Tournament, Kids Games, Bounce Houses, Tank Races, Pool Party, Sand Volleyball, Food Vendors, and much more

Sunday: Ansley Community Service at the Community Center at 11 a.m. and potluck to follow

“Our theme for the whole festival this year is ‘Show us your team spirit.’ So our parade is going to start with our lineup at 10:45 and then our parade is going to start at 11:30. We’re pretty excited about that, it seems like we’ve got some new businesses,” Fecht said.

The Muddy Creek Celebration Committee joined the Broken Bow Chamber on June 22 and looks forward to welcoming everybody to the weekend of fun. Wristbands are available for purchase to get into weekend events. Check out the Muddy Creek Celebration Facebook page to learn more!

“It really takes a whole community to pull this off. The community comes together for us and we can’t say thank you enough,” Fecht said.
