HALSEY–A prescribed burn is scheduled for today, April 25, at the Nebraska National Forest at Halsey. Nebraska National Forests and Grasslands (NNFG) representative Tedd Teahon told KCNI/KBBN the burn is scheduled for 732 acres.
The burn will take place north of Highway 2 and east of Highway 83. Smoke may be visible in the area.
According to the NNFG, “prescribed fires are managed with firefighter and public safety as the first priority.” (Click here to view the NNFG Facebook page)
