Agenda: City Council To Hold Regular Meeting Tonight At 6 PM Via Teleconference

BROKEN BOW–The Broken Bow City Council will meet on Tuesday, May 26 at 6 p.m. The format of this meeting is by conference call. The meeting is being conducted in this manner in order to comply with social distancing guidelines due to the COVID-19 outbreak and intended to follow the authorization of Executive Order No. 20-24 issued by Governor Ricketts.

A. Call to Order

B. Open Meetings Act: In accordance with Section 84-1412 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes, a current copy of the Open Meetings Act is available for review and is posted on the wall of the Council Chambers and available on the City of Broken Bow website under the City Clerk.

D. Submittal of Requests for Future Items: Individuals who have appropriate items for City Council consideration should complete the Request for Future Agenda Items. If the issue can be handled administratively without Council action, notification will be provided. If the item is scheduled for a meeting or study session, notification of the date will be given.

E. Consent Agenda: Consideration of approving the consent agenda items for April 28, 2020, which will include the following:
a. Approval of Minutes of May 12, 2020 Meeting
b. Approval of Bills as Posted
c. Approval of April Treasurer Report
d. Approval of KaBoomers Fireworks Application
e. Approval of Broken Bow Ambulance Service Roster

F. Discussion Item:

G. Unfinished Business:
a. Public Hearing Regarding the House Located at 631 South 9th Avenue – Consideration of opening a public hearing on the house located at 631 South 9th Avenue.
b. House Located at 631 South 9th Avenue – Consideration of declaring the house located at 631 South 9th Avenue unsafe and authorizing the demolition of the house.

H. New Business:
a. 2020 Market on the Square – Consideration of approving use of the Downtown Square every Thursday until 3:30 pm between June 4, 2020 and September 17, 2020. Blocking off parking stalls on the East and Northeast side for the Market on the Square.
b. Resolution 2020-3 – Use of Municipal Property for Youth Baseball and Softball-
Consideration of approving use of the ball fields for youth baseball and softball.
c. COVID-19 License and Management Agreement – Consideration of license and
management agreement for use of municipal property for youth baseball and softball.
d. Resolution 2020-4 – Authorizing the Support of Repurposing The Custer Economic
Development Revolving Loan Fund (RLF) Program – Consideration of approving to
repurpose The Custer Economic Development RLF Program to the CDBG Owner-Occupied
Housing Rehabilitation Program

I. Closed Session – Consideration of entering closed session for the purpose of a strategy
session regarding potential litigation.
