At the December 6 meeting, board members approved motions to elect Kent Nelson as president, Travis Schauda as vice president, Scott Reynolds as secretary, and Ron Chytka as treasurer.

According to the annual meeting minutes, events coordinator Michelle Nelson reported that the fairgrounds hosted 80 paid events in 2017. Approximately 15 major improvements were also made at the fairgrounds in the last year including a new stall barn, lights in Trotter Arena, picnic shelter, flag pole, grading and gravel of all roads, new manure baskets, and more.

Also on December 6, Ron Chytka reported the general fund contains approximately $34,429 dollars. Sonya Atkins spoke regarding indoor and outdoor speakers and a motion was approved to move forward with new speakers with a cap at the given bid of $5,434.

President Nelson said the beef, sheep, and swine judges have been hired for the 2019 county fair. The board approved a motion to use tourism funds to assist with bringing multi-day, non-profit, and youth events to the fairgrounds. The board also discussed taking Brad and Stephanie Miller and Brian and Tera Miller off of the high school rodeo account and adding Travis and Michelle Gary as they will be the new directors.

A work day is scheduled for January 6 at 3 p.m. and the Ag Society Winter Ball will take place on January 26.
