COLUMBUS, Neb. - A Columbus resident is out thousands of dollars after a burglar broke into their residence on Monday.
According to Platte County Sheriff Ed Wemhoff, around 7:20 p.m. on Monday, a resident of a Platte County trailer park arrived home to find a person fleeing the area.
The resident then reported $3,000 cash missing from their residence.
The incident is still under investigation.
