Ribbon Cutting Held for Callaway Hospital Addition

Organizers were very pleased with the number of people who attended the BBQ and for those who took time to visit with hospital and  clinic staff.

CALLAWAY–The Callaway District Hospital concluded National Hospital Week in a big way on Friday, May 13th, with a community appreciation BBQ and an Open House of the new addition.

A free BBQ was held  for the public to enjoy and to highlight the importance of the hospital and  recognize the clinic staff. Organizers were very pleased with the number of people who attended the BBQ and for those who took time to visit with hospital and clinic staff.

Following the BBQ, a ribbon cutting was held for the new Specialty Clinic and Senior Life Solutions addition (on the northeast side of the building).  Once the ribbon was cut, tours of the new 7,000 square foot facility were made available to the public to highlight the services offered and see the growth of the facility.

The new Specialty Clinic will allow more spaces for various health specialists and additional space to consult with patients and perform additional procedures.

The Senior Life Solutions  addition  is a unique program–a health and wellness program specifically geared towards Medicare beneficiaries ages 65 and older.  RN Kelly Herbig is the Program Director for the  Senior Life Solutions. She told KCNI/KBBN News that Senior Life Solutions  will provide a unique program that offers a health and wellness program specifically geared towards Medicare beneficiaries ages 65 and older. The program gives individuals the opportunity to come into the group setting multiple times per week to work through tough situations, improve mental health and physical health, and work toward a happier lifestyle.

Callaway District Hospital & Medical Clinics CEO Brett Eggleston told the crowd attending the ribbon cutting that efforts to continue growing health care in the area is not ending. Eggleston said plans are underway to build a new Medical Clinic in Arnold.
