COLUMBUS, Neb. - A two vehicle accident on 23rd St. on Friday afternoon sent one woman to the hospital with minor injuries.
The Columbus Police Department believes, sometime around 12:45 p.m. a woman driving a Chevy Sedan was northbound on 10th Ave., attempting to cross 23rd St., when she struck a beige Dodge truck, that was heading eastbound.
The woman in the sedan was taken by ambulance to the hospital with minor injuries.
The sedan received significant damage on its front side, while the truck had some damage on the passenger side.
The wreck slowed eastbound traffic on 23rd St for around one hour.
A CPD officer on scene said it did not appear airbags went off inside the sedan.
The Columbus Police Department and the Platte County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene.
