2 Injured After Collision North of Hospital

COLUMBUS - Two people were reportedly injured after an accident on Lost Creek Parkway, north of the Hospital on Saturday night. Columbus Police Captain Todd Thalken says a 22-year-old was driving a 2002 Ford Taurus southbound on 48th Avenue, when they failed to stop for a sign, and pulled out in front of a westbound 2013 Chevy Silverado. The Silverado was being driven by a 63-year-old, and Thalken says the passenger of the pickup was later transported to the hospital. Thalken says 2 people were injured in the accident, but only the one passenger was transported, and the driver of the Ford was cited by police. The Ford was considered a total loss, and damage to the Chevy was estimated at $10,000, says Thalken. A witness reported to police that the passenger of the pickup was trapped in the vehicle for a period of time, after the collision. The accident occurred at roughly 8:05 p.m., said Thalken.
