The 16th Annual Comstock Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering will be held Saturday, November 6nd at the Wescott Baptist Church in Comstock, NE. Day sessions will begin at 1 pm and continue through the afternoon.
Following the highly entertaining afternoon of Western Lore and Legend, a donation-priced supper will be served by the church youth at 5:45.
The evening performance will begin at 7 pm and will feature R.P. Smith of Broken Bow, NE, Sam Noble of Durango, Colorado, Candi Bishop of North Platte, NE, and Rick Buoy of Ainsworth, NE.
Among other musicians and poets performing will be Sam Connell of Tryon, NE, Curt Cooper of Central City, NE, George Russell of Boulder, Colorado, and Don Schauda of Comstock, NE.
A spirited Pie Auction will close out the day’s activities. There is NO ADMISSION CHARGE and all proceeds from the supper and auction will benefit the Youth Group’s Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox project.
Cowboy Church will be held on Sunday Morning, Nov 7th at 10:30 featuring several of the poets and singers.
