16-Year-Old Arrested for Driving Under Influence of Drugs

RURAL MERRICK COUNTY - A sheriff's office says they arrested a teenage driver on Highway 30, driving under the influence of drugs and with fake plates. The Merrick County Sheriff's Office says, on Thursday, they initiated a traffic stop on Highway 30, near D road, and arrested the 16-year-old driver. MCSO says the 16-year-old was charged with driving under the influence of drugs and driving with fake license plates. The Nebraska State Patrol assisted with the use of a Drug Recognition Expert, and the teen was later released to their guardian, says the MCSO.
