$1,500 in Tools Reported Stolen from N. Park Lane

COLUMBUS - In a third theft incident this week involving stolen tools, losses were estimated at $1,500. The report came into Columbus Police at 4:52 a.m. on Thursday, from the 2700 block of North Park Lane, according to logs. A theft of tools resulted in an approximate loss of $1,500, says reports. Two other incidents earlier this week, resulted in a total loss of $1,365 worth of tools, said CPD. See more details on the prior two thefts, from the previous story below. COLUMBUS – Two thefts that could be related, resulted in the theft of $1,365 in tools from two different parties. One reported theft came in from the 3400 block of Linden Drive, where the owner says tools were stolen out of the back of their truck at an unknown time period. The owner believes it could have occurred over the weekend, but is unsure at the exact time they were taken, says CPD Captain Todd Thalken.  Thalken says the theft totaled $740 in equipment. Another report came from the 3600 block of 26th Avenue. Thalken says $640 in tools were reportedly stolen from a trailer that was parked at a construction site, in the area. Thalken says the two events could be related, with the incidents taking place so closely together, but says the incident is still under investigation by CPD.
