1 Injured, 2 Vehicles Totaled at Highway Intersection

COLUMBUS - 1 person was injured and two cars were totaled, in a 3 vehicle pileup at Columbus' biggest intersection. Columbus Police reports say a 27-year-old woman was driving a 2006 Jeep Limited southbound on 33rd Avenue, while a 25-year-old woman and 73-year-old man were driving a 2005 Dodge Caravan and a 2017 Honda Accord northbound, turning west at 23rd Street. Columbus Police reports say all drivers claimed they had a green light when they entered the intersection. As the Caravan and Honda were making the left hand turn, they hit by the Jeep that was heading southbound, says police reports. The Jeep and Dodge were totaled in the accident according to reports, and the 25-year-old woman reportedly suffered minor injuries. The Honda suffered an estimated $2,500 in damage, according to police. The accident occurred at approximately 3:23 p.m. on Friday. Police reports say a citation is pending, for the 27-year-old woman.
