Nebraska coach Tim Miles wanted Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Clemson, however, will be the Huskers’ opponent in the annual event, according to a report.
NU defeated Boston College 71-62 in the 2017 challenge, which the ACC won 11-3.
The Tigers finished 25-10 last season, advancing to the Sweet 16. They lost to Kansas at the CenturyLink Center, 80-76, in the first regional semifinal hosted in Omaha.
Clemson also hosted Nebraska in the 2016 ACC/Big Ten Challege, winning 60-58.
Earlier this month, James Palmer and Isaac Copeland both announced that they were withdrawing from the NBA draft to play another season at Nebraska.
With Palmer and Copeland back, Nebraska will return 79 percent of its production from last year’s team. The Huskers lost in the first round of the NIT to Mississippi State.
