No. 12 Huskers falls to No. 18 Wisconsin in Big Ten dual opener on criteria tiebreaker

LINCOLN — No. 12 Nebraska dropped its first dual of the season in its Big Ten opener against No. 18 Wisconsin.

The teams were tied 21-21 after 10 matches, but the Badgers won on a tiebreaker based on he number of pins, forfeits and injury defaults — Wisconsin had two, while the Huskers had one.

The dual started strong for NU as Tyler Berger won a major decision at 157 over Wisconsin’s Patrick Spray. Berger.

Nebraska’s Isaiah White lost a 12-5 decision to Wisconsin’s Evan Wick at 165.

Nebraska will head to the Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas on Nov. 30.
